Designed as a regulatory update and refresher, not initial training

The 20-Hour Assisted Living Manager Continuing Education course is satisfied through attendance in 20 instructional hours of the 80-Hour Assisted Living Manager Training Program.
Participants attend live, instructor-led sessions alongside the full 80-Hour cohort. No separate curriculum or training materials are required for the 20-Hour course.
Enrollment, payment access, and course materials are distributed separately to confirmed participants only.

2. Are your courses approved in Maryland?
Yes. Our Assisted Living Manager training programs are designed to meet the requirements outlined in Maryland COMAR 10.07.14 and are eligible for approval through the Office of Health Care Quality (OHCQ).
We provide guidance regarding the Maryland ALM application process, including assistance with understanding the requirements and next steps. Each participant is responsible for completing and submitting their individual application to the appropriate Maryland licensing authority.
Any application, licensing, or other fees required by the State of Maryland are separate from the tuition and are paid directly by the applicant.
3. Who can take your courses?

The ALM 80-Hour Training is required for individuals seeking to become Assisted Living Managers in Maryland.

The ALM 20-Hour Refresher is for managers who need to renew or update their certification.
4. How are courses delivered?
Courses are live, virtual, and interactive. Our instructors lead sessions in real-time using case studies, group activities, and practical exercises to ensure engagement and compliance with Maryland requirements.
The course provides comprehensive preparation for the Assisted Living Manager role, with a strong focus on Maryland assisted living regulations and the practical responsibilities of managing an assisted living program. Instruction covers areas such as COMAR requirements, resident admission and agreements, assessments and service plans, staffing, resident records, medication management, resident rights, incident reporting, emergency preparedness, special care requirements, and transfer and discharge procedures. The course also uses practical examples and scenarios to help participants understand how regulatory requirements apply to day-to-day assisted living operations.
5. How are enrollment, payment, and course materials distributed?
Enrollment and payment links, along with all course materials, are distributed separately and only to confirmed participants.
This process helps protect enrollment access, payment security, and proprietary training materials associated with Relevant Professional Learning, LLC programs.
